Painting is such a labor of love. It is equal parts inspiration, intention, accident, frustration and joy. When I paint, I am often inspired by a single feeling or mood that I want the piece to express. I sketch out very little on the canvas, instead, I spend the bulk of my preparation experimenting with color combinations and mediums, looking for a playful harmony that can convey my vision. Many of my paintings are a fusion of fluid acrylic and mixed mediums which renders very few boundaries, yet maintains the impression of something more specific and defined.
